The effects of compassion-based feedback on wellbeing ratings during a professional assessment healthcare task

There is a need for higher education policy to consider how student nurses might be supported help them develop the resilience and mental wellbeing needed cope with stressful environments. Reviews qualitative research in this area suggest that compassion can improve wellbeing, however, compassion-based feedback yet explored as pedagogical intervention using quantitative methods. To explore effect of different types on subjective wellbeing. In experimental design, nursing students were presented three types, ‘compassion-based feedback, simple descriptive utilitarian feedback’ asked provide post-trial ratings relation each type, whilst undertaking nursing-related task. Participants also rated helpfulness ‘Type Feedback’. We report significant difference Feedback’ when participants feedback. Compassion-based could lead educational tasks related nursing.
